Privacy Policy

1. Direct Client-Carpenter Communication:

  • If direct communication between the carpenter and client is required, it should be agreed upon before hand.
  • Client and the involved vendor must know the extent and limits of the communication, often limited to technical aspects or specific clarifications.
  • Client, carpenter or any other vendor should know at what level of involvement or observation is allowed.

2. Confidentiality and Professional Boundaries:

  • Respecting Designer Privacy: Both the client and the carpenter must respect any privacy concerns or confidentiality that the designer has.
  • Professional Boundaries:
    • Clear boundaries must be set regarding the roles of each party, ensuring that the carpenter does not provide design and technical advice to the client advice unless requested by the designer.
    • This is to remind you that once both parties have agreed upon the project cost, the client no longer has the authority or right to contact the designer team to cross-check or question the pricing.
    • The Designer/Architect holds the authority to intervene and, if necessary, disrupt the project should the client, carpenter, or any other vendor exceed the confidential professional boundaries.
    • In the event of a disruption to the project, no refund of the amount paid will be issued. Such disruptions cause significant financial losses to the company, and as a result, we are unable to offer refunds under these circumstances.

3. Disclosure of confidential information
Unauthorized disclosure of confidential information, including but not limited to rate lists, design costs, or other financial details, is strictly prohibited. Any attempt by a team member to share these details directly with the client without prior approval from the designer or project lead is considered a serious breach of contract.

4. Immediate termination policy
If a carpenter or any member of the team from Beyond Design is found violating these confidentiality policies, specifically by disclosing the rate list or any sensitive financial information, the following actions will be taken:

  • Immediate termination:
    The team member responsible for the breach will be terminated from their position with immediate effect. Such actions demonstrate a lack of professional ethics and violate our trust.
  • Replacement of team:
    We will promptly replace the team member involved in the breach with a new professional to ensure the project continues without disruption.

5. Legal implications:
Our company reserves the right to pursue legal action for breaches of confidentiality that result in financial losses.
